My Experience with AdvancingAg

Over this past year, I have had the opportunity to travel to different places in Alberta to diversify my knowledge about agriculture. I’ve had an incredible journey meeting new people that have made a huge impact in agriculture, learning new technologies that are advancing agriculture, and obtaining skills that I can implement into my family farming operation. The variety of things that I got to do in this program, from the leadership conference to attending agriculture extension like Agronomy Update, Farm Tech, Making the Grade and Hedging Edge, has helped me learn so much more. AdvancingAg Final Blog Post

As the Advancing Ag program draws to a close and I finalize my roadmap for the last year, I look back on the opportunities I was presented the last 12 months. A program highlight for me was the three day conference in November that focused on communication and leadership, and was also a great opportunity to get to know the 7 other mentees. The Leadership Centre out of Calgary ran the workshops for the small group of us, allowing an intimate and open few days for learning.
